Child Safety Standards Policy
At Mahaaruth Matrimony, we have a zero-tolerance policy toward any content or behavior that exploits, abuses, or endangers children. Although our platform is strictly for adults seeking matrimonial alliances, we are committed to maintaining a safe and secure digital environment free from Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE).
1. Prohibition of CSAE and CSAM
We strictly prohibit the creation, upload, distribution, or promotion of:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any visual depiction (photos, videos, or computer-generated imagery) of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
- Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE): Content or behavior that sexually exploits or endangers children, including child grooming, sextortion, and trafficking.
- Sexualization of Minors: Any content that sexually portrays children or encourages inappropriate interaction with minors.
In the event of a reported CSAE violation, Mahaaruth Matrimony will preserve all relevant account data, logs, and evidence for a minimum of 180 days (or as required by law) to assist law enforcement agencies in their investigation, even if the content has been removed from public view.
2. Strict Age Requirements
Since this is a matrimony app, you need a clause that protects you if a user lies about their age while stating your intent to verify. In accordance with the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act (India) and our global safety standards, our app is strictly for adults.
- Women: Must be at least 18 years of age to register.
- Men: Must be at least 21 years of age to register.
We do not knowingly allow minors to create accounts. Any account found to be operated by a minor or depicting a minor will be permanently banned immediately. Users are required to provide a government-issued ID or valid age proof during registration. Any attempt to falsify age to bypass the 18/21-year threshold is a violation of our Terms of Service and will result in immediate termination of the account and forfeiture of any paid services.
Users must provide valid ID proof. Fake age information will lead to account termination.
3. Monitoring and Action
To ensure compliance, we implement the following:
- Proactive Review: We manually review every category profile and moderation scan for inappropriate imagery and keywords.
- Swift Removal:Upon gaining "actual knowledge" of CSAM/CSAE, we will remove the content and disable the offending account within 24 hours (as per India's IT Rules).
- Legal Reporting:We fulfill our legal obligations by reporting confirmed cases of CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant Indian law enforcement agencies.
4. Reporting Mechanism
We encourage our community to report any suspicious activity immediately.
- In-App Reporting: Use the "Report User" feature available on every profile. Select "Child Safety" or "Underage User" to flag the account for priority review.
- Direct Contact: You may report concerns directly to our designated Child Safety Point of Contact.
5. Point of Contact
In compliance with Google Play's Child Safety Standards and India's Information Technology
(Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, we have appointed a dedicated officer to handle reports of child
abuse and exploitation.
